Barlovento Applus+ to Deliver Power Curve Verification Services for Waddi Wind Farm in Australia

Barlovento Applus+ has been appointed by Vestas Australia to provide Power Curve Verification services for the Waddi Wind Farm project, located in Western Australia.

The project involves the independent power performance testing of V162-6.0 MW wind turbines in accordance with the international standard IEC 61400-12-1 Ed.3, which establishes the methodology for assessing and verifying wind turbine power curves.

As part of the assignment, we will be responsible for the planning, execution, and analysis of the measurement campaign, including:

  • Test plan development.
  • Site calibration activities.
  • Met mast installation and commissioning inspections.
  • Supply, installation, and commissioning of electrical power measurement equipment.
  • Measurement campaign management, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Power curve testing and verification.

By combining advanced measurement systems, rigorous data analysis, and independent verification methodologies, we will help ensure an accurate assessment of turbine performance and energy production under real operating conditions.
