Wind Resource, Engineering and Grid Connection Studies for a 1.9 GW Renewable Energy Portfolio in Mexico

In collaboration with our colleagues at Enertis Applus+, we have supported Thermion in the development of a portfolio comprising five wind projects and one solar project, representing nearly 1.9 GW of installed capacity in Mexico.

Our scope included the installation of meteorological measurement towers and the management of wind resource assessment campaigns, as well as the preparation of bankable wind resource studies in accordance with MEASNET standards.

In addition, we delivered the engineering packages required for the procurement processes of EPC contractors and wind turbine manufacturers, including the preparation of technical specifications and tender documentation, as well as technical support throughout the different contracting stages.

The work also covered the development of construction schedules and project budgets, grid connection studies for CENACE (Annexes III and IV), and the preparation of CFE Annex V for the mixed-development tender process.

This project reinforces our experience supporting the development of renewable energy projects in Mexico through specialized wind resource, engineering, and electrical interconnection services.
