Barlovento Applus+ to provide services to Petroperu for its first wind power project at the Bayovar Terminal in Peru
Our team in Peru has started a collaboration with Petroperu, a company dedicated to the transport, refining, distribution and commercialisation of fuels and other petroleum products, in the framework of its first wind project at the Bayovar Terminal.
Specifically, in order to determine the wind potential and feasibility of the future power plant, we will assist the client by measuring wind speed and direction. The work, which will include the installation of a met mast, will begin in March and will last for one year at the Bayovar Terminal, in accordance with the international IEC 61400 Wind Energy Generation Systems and Power Performance Measurements of Electricity Producing Wind Turbines standards.
The preliminary design of the wind farm and the feasibility study of the project will then be developed at a conceptual level with all the information gathered.
