Barlovento Applus+ to Attend WindEurope 2026 and Present Two Technical Posters on LiDAR

Barlovento Applus+ will attend WindEurope 2026 in Madrid from 21–23 April, one of the leading international events for the wind energy sector, together with colleagues from Enertis Applus+. The event will bring together key industry stakeholders to discuss the latest developments in onshore and offshore wind projects, technology and innovation.

Throughout the event, our experts will be on site to engage with industry peers and exchange insights on how the company’s specialised wind consultancy, engineering and testing services support wind projects worldwide.

With extensive experience in wind resource assessment, performance evaluation and independent technical advisory, we support developers, investors and asset owners across all stages of the wind project lifecycle.

Two technical posters on LiDAR applications in complex terrain

As part of the WindEurope 2026 technical programme, we will present two posters focused on LiDAR applications in complex terrain.

The first poster, presented by Ana Barreno, Wind Turbine Test Engineer, “Suitability of Ground LiDAR for the performance of Power Curve Test in complex terrain, including Site Calibration, by combination of LiDAR and hub height met mast”, analyses an alternative methodology for power curve testing in highly complex terrain.

The second poster, presented by Ricardo Martínez, Project Manager, “LiDAR measurement campaign definition in non‑flat terrain”, addresses the challenges of defining representative LiDAR measurement points in complex topography.

During WindEurope 2026, our teams will be available to discuss how their combined expertise in consulting, engineering, testing and wind resource assessment supports onshore and offshore wind projects worldwide.
